Simon Gerrard County Development Manager said: “The FA, Cheshire FA and McDonalds are delighted to recognise the work that Newton Athletic Football JFC undertake on a weekly basis, this award recognises the club for their continued great work in providing a safe, effective and fun environment for children to learn in. Football at grassroots would not exist without volunteers such as those who are at Newton, who in essence are the lifeblood of the game.”
Mark Howell Community Officer Chester Football Club said: “It is great to see the hard work and dedication that the volunteers put in at Newton Athletic being recognised with such a prestigious award. Their willingness to work so hard to provide such a safe and nurturing environment for the children is an absolute credit to them.
