Newton Athletic Football Club Committee

The club is controlled by the appointed Management Committee which ensures the effective running of the club in accordance with the status it aspires to operate too. The Management Committee oversees and appoints Team Managers/Coaches for every age group.

The Management Committee has clearly designated roles of Officers within the club such as Chairman, Vice Chairman, Club Secretary and Treasurer. The appointment to these positions shall be by election from the membership at the Annual General Meeting. Relevant members of the Committee represent the club at all times when dealing with all official bodies over club matters. All correspondence must be directed through the Club Secretary.

Team Managers & Coaches 

Team Managers are appointed by the Committee for each year. Each Team Manager can appoint his own Assistant or Joint Manager, with the Committee’s approval. Please be aware all Team Managers are volunteers who have stepped forward to provide boys and girls a chance to participate in Junior Football.

The Club has an FA requirement to ensure that all mangers are CRB checked, understanding Child Protection requirements and have attended the FA Level 1 Club Coach course (or better). To achieve this the Club sponsor each manager/coach through this training programme. We currently have 6 coaches who have achieved Level 2 status or better. These courses provide a balanced mix of practical and theory, including Emergency Aid and Child Protection Modules.
